What is Oregon IPMA?
The Oregon Chapter of the International Public Management Association for Human Resources (IPMA-HR) is a non-profit organization representing the interests of public sector HR professionals.
The following are the purposes and objectives of IPMA:
- To promote excellence through ongoing development of both professional and personal career development.
- To enhance the image of human resource professionals by recognizing their contributions to public service.
- To foster fairness and equity by promoting application of merit principles and equal opportunity.
- To promote communication and sharing of information among human resource professionals.

Benefits of Local Chapter Membership
- Keep informed of topics current to local public sector HR professionals
- $5 discount on each luncheon seminar.
- Obtain significant discounts on the fall IPMA Competency training. This training is required in order to obtain professional certification through IPMA -HR.
- Obtain significant discounts on the Spring conference. This conference will include such topics as: Dealing with the mentally disoriented employee, retention and succession planning: workforce planning and analysis, discipline how to make it stick and much much more.
