HR departments have been transitioning from transactional to strategic business partners to be successful in meeting these expectations. The current environment of reduced funding, added stress to “do more with less” and a sense of uncertainty and confusion in the minds of employees has established a significant increase in the importance of HR playing a strategic role within an organization. Inaction or doing what we have always done while waiting for things to return to “normal” are not meaningful options. The changes:</p><p>1) If the chapter dissolves, any funds of the chapter would be sent to IPMA-HR national.</p><p>2) Add a conflict of interest clause.</p><p>3) Would allow voting on chapter matters to be conducted electronically.</p><p>4) Would allow the board to set dues as deemed appropriate for operating the chapter.</p><p>Per the bylaws any amendments must be presented to the membership 30 days in advance of a vote.
