Chapter Secretary Rob Koch Dies

The Oregon Chapter Board of Directors was saddened to learn of the passing of its Secretary of many years, Rob Koch, who died May 21.

Chapter President Jim Loeffler, commenting on Rob’s death: “May I ask that all of us attempt at least one act of kindness today in Rob’s memory?  I will miss him.”

Former Chapter President Janet Newport: “My heart hurts.  Rob was a wonderful person and I as well will miss his encouragement and positivity.  His contributions to Oregon IPMA-HR are many.”

Treasurer Debra Bullard: “During his term with IPMA, Rob was always helpful in assisting with conferences, both local and regional, as well as coming in very early to help set up our seminars on a regular basis. He was also instrumental in obtaining our Chapter’s non-profit status, which was a huge task. I know I will certainly miss his positive attitude and helpful and friendly demeanor.”

Added IPMA-HR President Mary Rowe: “Rob was always so kind and generous in sharing his talents and time whether speaking at IPMA meetings or our conference, volunteering on the board, mentoring young men in his fraternity at Willamette university and more recently doing pro bono consulting for small businesses.  We will all miss his kind and gentle spirit.”
