Membership Approves Amended Bylaws

The bylaws of the Oregon Chapter have been amended to conform to requirements of Oregon law for non-profit corporations by vote of the membership. The newly adopted bylaws are available here [PDF format]

Board Proposes Amended Bylaws

The Oregon chapter is completing the paperwork to register the chapter as a tax exempt organization under Federal IRS Rules. It is already registered as a non-profit public benefit corporation under the laws of the State of Oregon.

In completing this documentation, certain modifications were found to be necessary in the bylaws to meet the requirements of State law, IRS regulations and the chapter requirements for the international association.  The proposed amendments have been review by IPMA-HR staff. At a board meeting this morning, the Chapter Board acted to submit the proposed changes to the membership for approval.

Ballots on the proposed amendments will be sent to the members via e-mail shortly. Members are asked to return their ballots electronically by August 30.

A red-lined copy of the proposed amendments is available in PDF format.
