March 18 Seminar: Performance Appraisals – Or Not!

Are you tired of performance appraisals? One local City has decided to drop them! Come hear City of Beaverton Human Resources Director, Nancy Bates, discuss why the City of Beaverton dropped performance appraisals and went to a process of performance planning, dialogue and development at the Oregon IPMA-HR chapter breakfast on March 18, 2011.

The breakfast meeting will be held in Rooms 111-112 at Clackamas Community College’s Wilsonville Campus, 29353 Town Center Loop E, Wilsonville. Breakfast is at 7:30 a.m., with the seminar from 8-9:30.

Our speaker, Nancy Bates, is  a human resources executive with 26 years of related experience. She joined Beaverton in 2003, after concluding 12-1/2 years with InFocus Corporation.  Nancy has a Bachelor’s and a Master’s Degree from Portland State University.  Nancy held human resources positions with other high-technology firms and was a trainer for US Bancorp. She was also a business instructor at Southwestern Oregon Community College and a business teacher at Churchill High School in Eugene.
