Scholarships

One goal of the IPMA-HR Oregon Chapter is to help you–our members–continue your professional development through course work, training and/or certification. Each fiscal year the Oregon Chapter Board allocates available funds to the Scholarship Program.  These funds are distributed to Oregon Chapter members who apply for them and meet the general requirements for disbursement as listed on the application form.

Scholarship Types

  1. Professional Certification or recertification through IPMA-HR.
  2. College level course work at an accredited two or four-year post-secondary college or university.
  3. Other HR-related training, as outlined on the application form.

The following types of expenses are eligible:

  1. 1.      Professional Certification – up to 50% of out-of-pocket costs for study guides and examination fees;
  2. 2.      College Course Work – up to 50% of out-of-pocket costs for books and tuition/fees
  3. 3.      HR-related training – up to 50% of out-of-pocket costs for tuition and materials.

Application Process

Download the IPMA-HR Oregon Chapter Scholarship Application from the Oregon Chapter website and follow the instructions on the form. You may submit your application at any time. When an application is received, the Board will review it at the next regularly scheduled Board meeting. Please be sure to submit your application well in advance of need to ensure time for review. Scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis until fiscal year funds are expended. Once the application is processed, the IPMA-HR Oregon Chapter Board will respond to the applicant.
